Over a century ago, Kansas Citians came together with remarkable speed and generosity to create a lasting tribute to those who served in World War I. In just 10 days, our community raised more than $2.5 million, which is equivalent to over $49 million today, to build the National World War I Museum and Memorial. We invite you to join us at the Museum and Memorial to hear more about the extraordinary community effort that made it possible. In addition to hearing from the Museum and Memorial leadership, you’ll also enjoy an exclusive look at a new special exhibition in a renovated space that explores the institution’s 100-year history. After seeing the exhibit, you are welcome to visit the open-air observation deck at the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower for a breathtaking view of the Kansas City skyline. When? Wednesday, September 9 5 to 7 p.m. Appetizers and drinks will be served. Where? National World War I Museum and Memorial 2 Memorial Drive Kansas City, Missouri Free parking is available. This exclusive opportunity is only open to Community Foundation donors. We will notify you when your registration is confirmed. Questions?
