Focused Forum on Education As students across the country continue to catch up after challenges related to the pandemic, school districts in lower-income communities are at a greater disadvantage than they were in 2019. While the impacts of school closings and remote learning linger, what support will it take to help school administrators, teachers and students bounce back and thrive in the years to come? Join us for an insightful lunch discussion on education in Kansas City, featuring Dr. Jennifer Collier, Superintendent of Kansas City Public Schools, and Dr. Anna Stubblefield, Superintendent of Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Edgar Palacios, founder of the Latinx Education Collaborative and Revolución Educativa, will moderate the discussion. Following the panel discussion, stick around for an optional tour of JA BizTown at Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas City. As a partner with many metro area school districts, explore how JA BizTown supports real-world learning and financial literacy. This convening is a great opportunity for Community Foundation donors to hear the latest updates and challenges from school districts on both sides of the state line and learn how philanthropy can best support K-12 students.
