Donor-to-Donor: Reducing Toxic Stress for Children
The upcoming school year is full of unknowns. But one thing we do know is that more children than ever need mental and emotional health support, as do their parents.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently released guidance for school re-entry, which highlights the stresses children are facing right now, including the emotional impact of the pandemic, financial concerns, social isolation and systemic racial inequity.
How can our children cope with and overcome adversity? Research shows the most important factor for a child’s well-being is a safe, stable relationship with a parent or primary caregiver. With this in mind, parents and healthcare professionals are coming together in a united effort to mitigate toxic stress and focus on our children’s health, education and behavior.
Join us virtually at our upcoming Donor-to-Donor, where we will hear from national leaders in pediatric healthcare who are working to shape a healthy and more resilient future for all children and parents.
